The Nominating Committee is accepting nominations through end of day Saturday, November 30, 2024, for Vice President-Elect, an Executive Committee position on the CoreNet Global North Texas Chapter Board, and four Director positions. Members may self-nominate or nominate other Members. Non-Members cannot nominate or be nominated.
The CoreNet North Texas Board of Directors meets monthly, and attendance/participation is a requirement. The role of Board Members includes occasional special projects outside of these monthly meetings.
Vice President-Elect
The Vice President-Elect position is a one-year term commencing April 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2026. It is viewed as a four-year commitment overall, as it is a prerequisite to serving as Vice President, President, and Immediate Past President in consecutive one-year terms. Nominees must be serving or have served in the past on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Chapter as an officer, committee chair or committee vice chair.
The Vice President-Elect shall be responsible for strategic planning under the direction of the President and Vice President and shall assist in other Chapter oversight duties as directed by the President and Vice President.
The slate of candidates for Vice President-Elect will be presented to the Chapter membership via e-mail for a vote after the nominating period ends Saturday, November 30, 2024. A quorum of at least 15% of the eligible membership of the Chapter, as of the date of notification, must be obtained for the election to be validated. Election shall be by simple majority.
Directors
The Director position is a one-year term commencing April 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2026.
The general affairs and business of the Chapter shall be conducted and managed by a Board of Directors that is responsible for the overall operations of the Chapter. Directors shall use their best efforts to represent the general interests of the Chapter membership, including all the various sectors of corporate real estate. It shall be the responsibility of each Director to solicit and consider the opinions of the Membership with respect to matters to be decided upon at any regular meeting of the Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors shall use reasonable efforts to inform the Membership of matters of interest to them in advance of each regular meeting in order to allow for the free expression of ideas by the Members to the Directors.

While serving on the CoreNet Global Board, individuals may not serve in an officer capacity for any CoreNet Global Component or serve on the Board or be an officer of any competing trade/professional society, association, membership organization, think tank or educational entity.
