CoreNet turns up the heat with the 2016 Golf Experience tournament at Las Colinas Country Club

As the temperature climbed to the century mark Monday, Sept. 19th, 100 players lined up in carts for a shotgun start to the 2016 CoreNet North Texas Golf Experience at Las Colinas Country Club.

Jasper Brands loaded coolers for each foursome with bottled water to keep them hydrated, and there were other hydration stations positioned strategically around the course including the traditional ArchIteriors Margarita station, and four beverage stations sponsored by Cedar Hill Economic Development. 

The golfers played through, stopping for a freshly hand-rolled Dominican cigar, courtesy of the Blue Book Network, and then taking advantage of the K2 cannon to drive the ball down the fairway on 10. On 17, each player had an opportunity for an HOK Hole-in-One that would have allowed them to drive home a brand new Lexus LS460 F. But that bad boy didn't move an inch during the whole tournament. As a consolation, some golfers were having their cars detailed by Kingsmen Wash Club as they finished the tournament.

To take the sting out of hearing first, second and third place finishers take home $600, $400 and $200, players were treated to premium drinks at the 19th Hole by FSG, and heavy appetizers courtesy of Mohawk Group.
